YouTube Kidshow Video Series
« on: October 03, 2012, 03:23:54 AM »
Hey Everybody.  A month ago I started a video series called Christopher T. Magician Presents! on YouTube.  It features routines and ideas for children's performers.  So far the response has been wonderful.

Just wanted to spread the word here and let everyone know that Episode 3 is now available.  Here's the link...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi1eZmCqrTM&feature=youtube_gdata_player

This episode is called Two Techniques & A Rope Routine and features two of my favorite Kidshow techniques (pretty obvious from the title, I suppose).  It's chock full of bits of business with many standard props, so you're bound to find at least one thing you can use.  If not, there's at least a Donut and Dodo Bird Puppet to entertain you :)

And if you missed the first two episodes, you can find them on YouTube under "Christopher T. Magician Presents!". Episode one features 3 routines I've used to open shows.  And episode 2 features a ton of routines and ideas for Halloween shows.

Hope you guys enjoy, and if you have any thoughts and requests for future episodes, by all means let me know here or by email at ChristopherTMagicianPresents@gmail.com.

Christopher,

This series is outstanding.

This is better than most instructional DVDs that I have bought. I am thankful that you are providing them for the magic community.

I also respect that you are not revealing too much so that if a casual observer stumbles on these videos on YouTube you are not giving away trade secrets that would hurt any other magician's business.

Also, I really admire the way you bend over backwards to attribute things to their original creators.

Not only are the videos great for instructions but they serve as an example of ethics and professional integrity.

Thank you so much for making these videos and for sharing them.

By the way, I'm making a "Sticky" post at the top of the "Magic Talk" section of this forum so that all your videos will be easy to find in one place.

To everyone else,

Go watch these videos! They are GREAT and the lessons apply to magician but every family performer can learn from them as well.

I just watched the first video in the series.  It's awesome!  Thanks so much for sharing!  I'm not a magician, but it's something I'd like to try in the future.  I like your presentation and the fact that you can joke around and not be so serious about your act (and those smart-mouthed puppets sitting in the audience).  Can't wait to watch the rest!

Thanks Plywood,

I definitely try not to take this stuff too seriously.  I fairly recently have been studying more clowning technique and concepts.  I think it has and is continuing to improve my abilities as a children's entertainer.  So if you're thinking of jumping into magic, you already have a leg up with your clowning skills.
